Sunday Funday with Mommy Dearest. Today, she wanted Chinese. We used to come here a lot and it brought back many good memories. They've been around for a long time. Mom and Pop operated. Small, very cozy place. But the food packs huge flavors. You can't beat the price here.

The difference in "Service" makes the "Food" a bit MORE ENJOYABLE!!! NOT to say that the "Service" is the greatest. It is actually better than the typical, curt mannerism of most Chinese/Chop Suey establishments, like Waimalu Chop Suey and Wong Kung. Seems the employees of such eateries have issues with cracking a smile and being pleasant. They have no sense of gratitude for their patrons. REASONS I WILL MAKE THESE GUYS MY GO TO: 1)- 1/2 ORDERS: Many years ago, you could order any menu item as a 1/2 order. GOLDEN WHEEL CHINESE RESTAURANT offered Full and 1/2-ORDERS on the CRISPY GAU GEE. I don't know if 1/2 -ORDERS are available on other menu items, but I certainly appreciate that we could get what we wanted WITHOUT OVER-ORDERING. Can't wait to go back and see what other items they allow as 1/2 orders. Hope they offer more than the Crispy Gau Gee. 2)- SPECIAL REQUEST: The Beef Brocolli Cake Noodle was perfectly cooked. It was slightly crunchy on the top and bottom layers and the center was still tender. Perfect!!!

Ordered item not on the menu, and they came thru! Almost as tasty as my late husband used to cook for us. Oyster Sauce Lup Cheung Chow Fun with Vegetables. Good Cantonese Cooking! Heaping serving ... lots for leftovers!

New owners as of Oct 24. No more lunch special, more concise menu and an updated feel! I think the portions are a but bigger and the food tastes a bit more ono! Faves are still sweet sour fish, salt n pepper shrimp, and steamed fish. The owner is the chef and Kelly usually runs the front house! I will enjoy continuing to go eat here! There is a new 3% credit card surcharge.

Excellent Singapore Style Noodles and Steamed Fish Filet w/ Ginger & Green Onion. Fair prices and fast service for a phoned in order. This restaurant has been reliable and consistent in its quality over the years. Worth a visit!

An amazing experience! The food is not only great tasting but the customer service is top-notch. The waiting time is pleasantly short although recently visited 1/2/24 showed they’re super busy now, and need more man power, wait time on phone orders are being told 30 minutes. The dinner plates are generously sized and surprisingly inexpensive, making it an all-around fantastic dining option.
